Did you know that Ethiopia works with a different calendar than the rest of the world? For instance, New Year’s Day is September 11, but instead of being 2015, the year is 2008. New Year is in September.
The calendar is similar to the Egyptian Coptic Calendar ( see http ://christian-egypt.com/CopticCalendar.htm) with 13 months of 365 days and a Leap Year every four years in our month of August. It is eight years and four months behind the calendar we follow.
Kind of messes with your mind, doesn’t it?
