In 2014 I read 46 books — down from 69 in 2013. Either I was really busy or I read longer books! The following, in no particular order, is a list of my favorite books of 2014.

The Century Triology by Ken Follett. In these three books Follett follows five families from before World War I through Vietnam. I loved the characters and how everyone's paths cross and intertwine.

The Pillars of the Earth series also by Ken Follett. Again he follows a few families and how their lives intertwine. The only part I didn't like is the leap of several centuries between the first book and the second.

The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. I am on the fifth of eight books and I can't get enough.

"What Alice Forgot" by Liane Moriarty. I read this for book club. The premise of losing 10 years of your life is wonderful. The possibilities are endless.

If you enjoy reading as much as I do, try these books. They all have lasting memory for me.
